Dr. K uses digital impressions of your teeth to design your porcelain restoration in a virtual environment. Dr. K sends it to the milling machine where computer-assisted manufacturing tools mill your unique restoration. After give your crown or veneer the finishing touches, Dr. K will apply tint and glaze by hand so that it looks indistinguishable and it fit for your natural teeth.
LANAP Soft Tissue Lasers
LANAP stands for Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure and refers to a set of protocols that delineate the usage of soft tissue lasers in general dentistry. Dr. K uses the PerioLase MVP-7 brand of soft tissue laser, So he can use to gently perform periodontal therapy procedures such as:
- Removing calcified plaque from below the gum in the treatment of gingivitis and gum disease.
- Removing infected gum and connective tissue during gum disease treatment.
- Treating canker sores.
- Reshaping the gum line to improve the evenness of a patient’s smile or address an overabundance of visible gum tissue (a “gummy” smile).
Perhaps the best aspects of soft tissue lasers are their ability to remove incredibly precise amounts of tissue, making for a more conservative procedure, and the greatly reduced bleeding, discomfort, and recovery time patients can expect.
Digital X-rays
Traditional x-rays required the use of special papers and toxic chemicals to produce images of oral structures not visible to the naked eye. With digital x-rays, we have removed the need for special, potentially harmful supplies. Digital x-rays reduce the amount of radiation exposure our patients receive by 90%. In addition, digital x-rays create digital records and which allow us to transfer your information to specialists and insurance companies rapidly and in an environmentally friendly manner.
